You can serve some crushed gingersnaps on top for those that want the crunch.Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09781375451012608773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9172726268459163555.post-21743401487897675992010-11-19T14:47:28.596-08:002010-11-19T14:47:28.596-08:00AWESOME JOB Leslie! Here is a recipe for sweet potato pie that I love.

Ingredients:

2 medium sized sweet potatoes(easiest to just peel, then boil them whole)

Pet ritz deep dish frozen pie crust (9 inch) 1/2 cup

egg whites (I used refrigerated kind)

1/2 cup fat free evaporated milk

1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup

1 tsp nutmeg

2 tsp cinnamon

10 packets of Splenda Feel free to adjust the Splenda, nutmeg & cinnamon to your liking.

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients til well blended. I hand mixed 1st then put it into a blender & blended for about a minute til smooth. Pour filling into frozen pie crust. Bake for about 40 mins. It'll look puffed up when u first take it out of the oven, but settles once cool. It's best to cool in the fridge for a few hours. Top with fat free or light cool whip & voila! A low calorie alternative to a holiday pie standard! Makes 8 slices. Each slice is 3 pts. A slice of a typical sweet potato pie is 9 pts!The Fat Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11311722316950527962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9172726268459163555.post-44434120208102763662010-11-19T11:35:45.377-08:002010-11-19T11:35:45.377-08:00WOOOHOOOOOO, YOU!!!!!!!! Go with half splenda in the other dishes. They'll never notice! I've served it to my friend who claims to "taste splenda in things" and she doesn't taste it at all.Debbi Does Dinner Healthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11091564423796146580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9172726268459163555.post-82917184097640419412010-11-19T08:02:58.784-08:002010-11-19T08:02:58.784-08:00So glad you had such a great week heading into Tha...So glad you had such a great week heading into Thanksgiving!! We are moving into a different style of eating, and it is opening up a lot of possibilities for our own small Thanksgiving. Turkey for sure, cranberry relish made from one of a million possibilities, roast root veggies that include parsnips, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes and more, stuffing made from soaked grain cornbread and wheat bred, and real legitimate home made pumpkin( with heavy cream and sugar) ice cream . You have a very good idea about including "orphans" to your home- I had looked into the option here but it seems that I cannot find any. So small turkey, here we come !Dihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04694756762570280051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9172726268459163555.post-61235638171260727102010-11-19T06:53:26.453-08:002010-11-19T06:53:26.453-08:00How about this Leslie?
