Weigh in and Sunday thoughts

I lost 2 pounds this week, which puts me almost back at my lowest since joining WW, minus .2 pounds.  I'm happy with that.  But this week ahead, just like I vowed last week, is hopefully going to be a no restaurant or other special meal week.  I know that if I just stick to my plan with no cheat days, using only my daily plus weekly allotment of points, I can have another slightly more substantial gain.  My neighbor who is doing this with me is getting really into it now, which is great.  So - a successful week, but I think I can do better.

Not much else to report.  It's been a nice weekend.  It's funny that at most of the places I've shopped this weekend, the check out people have asked "Are you ready for Sunday night?" After the first round of that I knew they were referring to the Super Bowl.  Once our beloved Eagles were out of the mix, I lost total interest in the whole thing.  I'll be either reading, watching mindless HGTV, or sleeping.

I'm doing my usual Sunday food prep for the week.  Just roasted a pan of brussel sprouts, butternut squash and onion tossed with garlic, a Tbs. of olive oil and S&P.  I hard boiled a dozen eggs, and will also wash and spin a bunch of lettuce and cut up some other salad type vegetables for fast thrown together salads during the week.

Oh - and one more thing...obviously I've changed  my template to get rid of the "blues".  Please let me know if there is any more drama with my blog from the reader end...I had no idea that I was coming up blue so much, even when what I saw was normal!  And thanks to all who had good suggestions and offered help about my possible move to Wordpress.

That's it from me for today.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and I hope if you have a Superbowl preference, your team wins!

  3. Very nice on the weight loss. I've been blocking out the game too. My dad mentioned it yesterday and I had totally forgotten about it. Enjoy your day!

  4. Woohoo on the 2 pounds!!! Great work, Leslie!

I watch the game for the commercials. Don't really care who wins, but it one team starts dominating, then I'll root for the underdog. ☺

Well look at that - I read in the previous comments about how to do the smiley face, and it works!!! BTW, I can read your blog easily now. ♥

  6. Like the new look. Glad you are on track. Me too:) Literally too since I am tracking like crazy! Meals out are such a struggle for me. I have one coming up next weekend. Honestly, I'd rather skip it. (And, that is NOT "normal.")

  8. Congrats on getting back to even ground. That didn't take very long at all and now you have forward momentum - mental and physical.

In your first paragraph you wrote:
"I can have another slightly more substantial GAIN"

or did you mean GAIN as in gaining ground, success - ?

Freudian or am I missing something?

  9. Yay for two pounds down! Funny about the Superbowl, our new anchors the other day asked, "Since there are no NY or New England teams in, does anybody care?"

I love the pre-game human interest stuff and of course, the half time show and the commercials. Still, I went to bed before it was all said and done.

  10. I like this format it is bright and happy. Your food prep sounds wonderful . I need to do the salad thing. I am so lazy when it comes to cleaning lettuce.

  11. I am so not technical, not sure how to flip from blogspot to wordpress, but I love wordpress! I don't have to know what I am doing :D

Yahoo in the -2! My plan is to stay within my points, and ditch my nightly wine while making dinner - curious to see how that will affect my weigh on Saturday!

    Hugs!

  13. Great loss! I'm with you on the food prep. I always have lunches in the freezer to take out for the coming week. This week, I happened to have enough already so I didn't have to do so much over the weekend. It felt strange!
