A drib and a drab

Earlier today I had some brilliant insights and revelations to write about, generated by a wonderful memoir I'm reading. I decided to put off writing until the afternoon, and now I'm too tired. Genius tabled to another day. The quietude in which I am dwelling is gradually seeping in and beginning to feel delicious and safe.

Righty continues to do pretty well. I'm babying her like a preemie. Work called today to see how I'm doing...I was at lunch with a friend and hubby told them I was "indisposed". YES! He really came through. I guess you all were right about them probably just trying to not bug me. I'll call and chat with them tomorrow, when and if I'm feeling "disposed". But I'm going to create a beautiful vaporous cloud of smoke if they ask anything about when I might come back. Because I don't have any idea, and I'm not anywhere near contemplating it. I have my post-op visit Thursday morning at which time I'll talk to the doc about when I might think it wise to go back. I know he won't rush me or think I'm malingering if I want to add an extra week onto my rehab. It's becoming clear that my R&R is serving a greater purpose than the simple healing of my knee. Head and heart are getting in on the act, and that's a wonderful bonus. More tomorrow ;) .

  3. I hope your knee heals well in the time it needs. Good idea to stay away from talking to work until you know when you can safely go back! As always thanks for the encouragement!

  9. Good girl...rest and rehab the knee so that it heals fully and you don't have any future problems from jumping back too quickly. Looking forward to the insights as well in upcoming post(s).

  11. Glad you're knee is still feeling good!

Where I come from, "indisposed" is a euphamism for "in the loo"... ;o)

    Enjoy the peace. :o)

  14. Can't help but ask: what's the title of the memoir? My favorite genre. Bios are better than fiction; you couldn't make that stuff up.

  16. Leslie, I'm so GLAD!!! Hooray! I'm glad that hubby told them you were indisposed. Perfect. You will really benefit by following the doctor's advice and really evaluating your knee's feelings. It wouldn't do to tick it off!

    Good luck.
