Fly by...

Day 4 sugar free for me - this is the longest I've gone in months, and I feel better already.  Stayed Paleo yesterday too but still haven't read much of the book.  Last evening I actually had to make myself eat dinner because I wasn't hungry, and the sugar thoughts didn't intrude.  If only it was smooth sailing from here!  I know better...

Instead of daily sugar free updates, maybe I should get a ticker.  I'll see, but it's not a bad thing for me to do a mini post either.  Again - the accountability thing.

I weigh in tomorrow and am already working on keeping my expectations low.  It's gotten to where if I have 2 or 3 days in a row on plan - I expect great things.  Gotta get the emphasis off the scale.

That's it for me - have a good Satuday.

  1. Same here (with expecting great things after 2 or 3 days "on plan"). You're doing great Leslie! You really are. 4 days of sugar free is no small feat. It's all trial in error for it to become a real way of lifestyle (for me anyway). It's taken me 2 years to finally START to REALLY understand how low carb/low sugar works best for me and the diabetes. I've found that I CAN have some of my favorites without A. overindulging and B. having sugar spikes. It's LEARNED though...and it's been hard (own personal experience)...Now I'm at a point where I'm starting to feel very liberated!!! (I hope the "2 yrs" doesn't scare you off!). Everyone is different and I do tend to learn things slow (thick head that I am)!

    Thumbs Up Leslie!
    Again - Thumbs Up!!

  2. Yay for 4 days sugar-free. Remember...today is the only day that matters. We'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here. :)

  3. Good for you! And if that scale disappoints, just remember how much better you feel:)

  4. A daily post is good - we want to hear from you all the time!

Like Tammy says, focus on being sugar free TODAY. Worry about tomorrow when it gets here.

You are doing a great job.

  5. Keep up the good work. Don't give in to sugar!!!

I've given up sugar too and have replaced it with splenda. Today I have had some chocolate and it tasted so sweet that I felt sick.

Like Karen said, 'you will fell much better'.
