Note to self...

...Don't wait until 8:30 p.m. the night before leaving on a trip by 6:30 the next morning to start laundry.  A good night sleep was not had by this blogger!  But I perform best under pressure - always have.  Just ask my nursing school professors who gave me A+'s for those care plans done the night before!  The clothes are clean and in the suitcase now as I sit here even before the buttcrack of dawn.

My weight was 203.5 this morning.  Last Friday was 212.4.  So just about 9 pounds off this week.  Obviously I'm happy about that.  I've been on a good roll this week and hope to not do damage while deep in the heart of Texas.  BTW, thanks Roxie and Shelley for the food recommendation on the River walk.  Duly noted, and I pledge to report back as to the Summer 2010 cuisine!

Have a wonderful, safe, and sane holiday weekend everyone.  See you Monday!

  6. Great job getting those pounds to disappear. You'll have a great time on your trip. I love that River Walk. Be good. A lot of us will be on vacay, it will be so nice if we can all stick to our guns, weight-wise. Diet and exercise aren't going to take a vacation.

  7. Leslie girl! I just popped over from Casa Hice to check on you and noticed that I have never officially clicked the Follow button. Rest assured that little faux pas has been remedied!

I'm like you, chica... not a procrastinator, but I do work best under a bit of pressure. Keeps me focused. So what if you were up all night doing laundry. You'll have time for a siesta once you hit Texas. Si?

And mega congratulations for your 9 pound weigh loss this week. That is so impressive and awesome! Go girl, go! Enjoy your vacation! See ya when you get back.

  16. Yeah, the late night clothes washing isn't conducive to early morning travel at all, is it? I have done that before. :-)

  17. How funny that I'm reading this as my clothes are churning around in the washer and I should be in bed already, lol. 9 lbs gone this week is AMAZING!! I hope you have a super fantastic time on your trip...come back safe and you better have some food pics! lol :)

  18. I just packed for a two month away from home summer. We left the house at 12:30 and I finished packing my stuff around 12:25. I hear you on the last minute stuff! 9 pounds gone is fab. I did a couple of stints at FAA and the program really worked for me, as long I was working it. You've got me thinking and I am going to see if there are any meetings within a reasonable distance to y summer location. I do need that kind of support. Have a great trip!
